In the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, Gerónimo Paravecino has long been a guiding presence — a founding member and respected leader of the Orígenes Cooperative(Cafe Origenes), known for his steady hand and generous spirit. A dedicated coffee and avocado producer, Gerónimo’s work reflects a lifelong commitment to the land and to the collective progress of his community.

Together with his wife, he raised four children who have since moved to the city in pursuit of new opportunities. Among them, his daughter Mishjaky has carried forward his legacy of leadership. Today, she leads the women’s association within the cooperative, empowering female farmers across the region and inspiring others through her vision and determination. Gerónimo speaks with pride and joy about her accomplishments, finding hope in seeing her constant presence in the community he helped build.

At Yungas, we’re honored to share Gerónimo’s story — one that bridges generations and celebrates the enduring connection between family, leadership, and the regenerative heart of the Peruvian Amazon.
