Meet Clara & Cleofe

Clara Céspedes Paravecino is one of the founding members of the Orígenes Cooperative, a dedicated coffee producer, and an active voice in the local women’s group. Her leadership and energy continue to inspire those around her. A proud mother of three daughters and one son, all raised in the embrace of the cloud forest, Clara embodies the balance of family, community, and the land that sustains them.

Cleofe Consa, a respected farmer and leader among the older generation, is equally rooted in this landscape. Together with her husband, she has cultivated some of the highest-quality coffee in the region — the result of years of patience, care, and deep connection to the earth. Though her children have since moved away, Cleofe feels immense pride seeing how new generations in her community are now finding opportunities close to home — opportunities she helped make possible through her life’s work.
