The Yungas Model in Action

The Core Stages of Our Work

Supporting regenerative practices

We help farmers adopt and improve regenerative methods that increase production and strengthen the health of their land.

our regenerative coffee process

Starts with healthy, biodiverse farms

Farmers plant and manage coffee under shade trees, weaving productivity with rainforest conservation.

Quality control becomes a community habit

Farmers learn cupping, fermentation techniques, drying methods, and how small changes can lift quality and their income.

Hands-on training from soil to cup

Yungas supports farmers in good agricultural practices, pre and post-harvest - turning scattered know-how into a shared craft.

Coffee is sold through the farmers’ own cooperative

The co-op negotiates better prices, handles logistics, reduces middlemen, ensuring the value stays with the families who grew it.

The cooperative becomes the engine

With governance, administration, and shared decision-making, the coop provides structure, confidence, and a pathway to access new markets and future opportunities.

OUTCOMES

Yungas_Entregables-09.png

Higher incomes from quality + collective bargaining

Farmers often double or significantly increase earnings through improved quality and unified sales. Value flows home instead of slipping away in the supply chain.

Opportunities for youth
take root

Jobs in processing, quality control, cooperative leadership, and entrepreneurship start appearing,

making the future feel closer, brighter, and local.

Coffee becomes
conservation

As incomes rise, land becomes worth conserving. Forests stay standing, biodiversity is protected, and the community’s home becomes a source of pride rather than pressure to migrate.

Mapping a Future Where Farmers and Forests Flourish

We partner with more than 160+ families across 10 communities in the Peruvian Amazon.

Using state-of-the-art GIS mapping and digital field tools, we trace every coffee lot back to the people who nurture it. This technology gives clients full transparency into the supply chain, and allows us to monitor conservation outcomes and measure impact in real time.

Each point on the map represents a living chapter in a shared future.

Our goal is to expand regenerative coffee production and restore more forest each year,
but we can’t do it alone.

We’re inviting environmental organizations, donors and foundations, sustainable coffee roasters, and hospitality brands to join us in building a model that protects biodiversity and strengthens rural livelihoods.

Together, we can make regeneration the new standard.
